Gina Ramshaw, M.A., M.S., BCBA

Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)

Credentialed Education Specialist (CA-M/S)

Understanding student behavior and how it is impacting a student’s learning  in the classroom can be challenging and complicated.  As a parent, you may be feeling frustrated on how to help your struggling child in school.  You believe that if you knew “WHY” your child was behaving in such an intense manner then they would be able to learn and be happy at school.

Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) can answer the essential question of  “WHY?” for your child’s behavior.  The development of a Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP) from the assessment will provide strategies for supporting your child in acquiring socially-significant behavior. It will  improve their learning outcome in the classroom as well as improve their overall quality of life.

I believe that collaboration between school and home is most important when it comes to supporting student learning outcomes and overall behavior change for a child. As a Behavior Analyst, I will conduct accurate and  data-driven assessments that provide essential information on how to create behavior change for children within the classroom and allow for them to learn throughout their school day. I will use my experience as a former Special Education classroom teacher and public school Behavior Specialist  to provide expert consultation on Behavior Intervention Plan implementation within the classroom setting that will ensure meaningful success for children in acquiring, generalizing, and maintaining socially- significant skills that will impact all aspects of their their life.
